WELCOME TO MEDAF - THE HOME OF ARABIC-SPEAKING DRAMA Symposium on contemporary Arabic drama held at RADA on 9 February 2008.
Sulayman Al-Bassam, Lenin El-Ramli and Hazem Azmy History MEDAF (Middle East Dramatic Arts Forum) was founded in 2006 by Rima Brihi, director and Penny Black, writer/dramaturg, who between them have twenty years of experience working with international drama.We set up MEDAF with the long-term aim of MEDAF facilitating the exchange of drama between the Middle East and the UK, calling on artists from both countries as well as Arabic-speaking artists living in the Diaspora. We will produce intercultural work that breaks down pre-conceptions, tells the stories that get lost behind the headlines, and enables free exchange of artists.
